well, what about 'another day in Congo'?
Iraq is nothing compared to Congo in terms of killing and extremely severe abuse of human rights..
oh well..
- tuig0
horrible..but...thin whan youre a nineteen year old soldiers and you fired warning shots and the car keeps going on...what ya gonna do...thel them please...again if ind it horrible but y'know picture yourself in the place of the soldiers..the enviirement is hostile...yeah and i'm also picturing myself in the place of the frightened boy...its a lose situation from both sides...damn..;war and weapoens i'm gonna watch 'space with sam neill' that always calms me down...looking at the stars and the solas system...puts things in perspective...

true, tuig.
it's an extremely difficult situation considering the carbombings there.

I cant get over how horrible this war has been. =\

yeah yeah yeah. Fuck America. You know what? I feel bad for people in Iraq for many reasons. I also feel bad for the soldiers over there as well, no matter what side they're on. I'll tell you right now, if I were a soldier at a checkpoint and there was a car that failed to stop I would shoot until my clip was empty. It's kill or be killed; period. Is it fucked up? Yeah, it is. I wasn't over here droppin F bombs on the whole middle east when 9/11 happened. I was dropping F bombs on Al Qaeda and everyone they showed dancing in the streets to celebrate the carnage over here though. I just hope that all the "Fuck America" statements are meant to say "America's rich and political higher ups fucking up", rather than being aimed at everyone in America as a whole. I work hard, I vote and I stay abreast about the issues as much as I can. But money has a crazy way of making things go a certain way for certain people.

good point, Point5.
Stop blaming the US, blame politicians.

I care for 49% of America.

Support our Troops or shut the F up.

you know waht the problem is...the troops(americans)aren't a epacekeeping force..they are good for enforcement(getting rid of a dictator, dissect rebel armys) what tehy need now are trained troops to help the citizens, like social workers, you know...what we now have is a blunt weapon,we need a scalpel to help the people there, get thelm to trust us...etc...i hope it makes what ive said..very tired...going to bed ..goodnoght...swarm i hope that was ironical///blegh...zzzzzzzz

sweet jebus..
what a horrible fucking thing to see...those poor kids..
and, frankly..those poor fucking soldiers..
a lot of those guys are pretty close to kids themselves, and most likely scared shitless..hell....i'm fairly fucking sure i would have opened fire too..
now, for the rest of their lives, they'll have to think about that...
they'll see the faces of those kids, screaming and crying...good lord.
i think america bashing at this point, is fairly fucking ridiculous..
look not to america..
if ya want to bash anyone, or blame anyone..
i'd personally start with these guys..that of course, is just my opinion...
but if you're gonna lay blame at anyone's feet...this collection of hawks is pretty much where the buck stops.

well said!

tuig got a point.
the US is best at combat, invading, strategy etc.
other countries (also by different reputation there) are better at peacekeeping, but are less forceful and experienced when it comes to violent confrontations.
the situation is too complicated to lay blame on someone.
it's horrible what happened, really horrible, but i think we cannot point fingers now.

Did you, did you see the frightened ones?
Did you, did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter,
When the promise of a brave new world,
Unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?Did you, did you see the frightened ones?
Did you, did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all long gone,
But the pain lingers on.
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.

war is a terrible, un-predictable beast that none of us can fathom without witnessing it first-hand.

When anyone in here says fuck america, we /they
are talking about your government, nad their fucked up policies that affect everyone on this planet. We are not telling you as individuals to fuck off. i love americans, i always have good fun with yanks when i meet them over here and do my best to make them feel welcome. Any country that can produce the family guy and southpark is good in my book.
On another note surely its time for them to re-think their checkpoint policy. Obviously if this happened there is something wrong. These people were missled to believe they were in danger and put the foot on the gas.
- Pixter0
why did they keep driving?
Maybe fear of the soldiers, we will never know exactly what they are doing in Iraq (and how).
We got that just because a man "was on hand to record these pictures".
