I PAY THE BILL!!!!
What do you think the Bill covers?!
- ********0
the bill covers the cost of the food - if the service was taken out automatically then I can understand why you would not tip (although I would still becuase I respect people who take care of me)...
but if the service is not in the bill you are EXPECTED to tip because this is how it works... you wouldn't happen to be a slave owner would you?

As toe-knee said:
your argument has been proved wrong in every other country in the world. Everywhere else waiters work hard to earn a tip. And if they are shite they get fired. simple

do you honestly believe this?
For one-
I am not a waiter, I was a waiter. So was my mother- who raised three children on that wage, except then they pauid her $1.66 an hour instead of $2.66 and hour-I know I Know she should have just quit her job and became a CEO of Time Warner instead... silly her...
Don't believe me- go apply for a waiting job and ask them what the pay rate is.

MLVR, you and Moth don't expect to tip anything whether they work hard or not...
do you get paid while your surfing Newstoday all day instead of working.... maybe your boss should not pay you and fire you instead...

bout £6 ph here.
I got about £3.20 an hour when I did it.
$6.
If anyone asked me to work for less.... well shit - I might as well have bent over and droped my pants too...

This is research boy! Not slackin'!

$2.66 an hour
two tables an hour...
both leave a 4 dollar tip.
$10.66 hourly wage for pretending I like you.

puter... i pay a lot of tip... i eat out all the time and i travel a lot. And I happend to get good service because I go to good places. But I've also been at places with lousy service, why would I tip them? If I do a bad design job I have to make it over and over til my clients are satisfied.

the basic service fee in america is 15% tip for just the fact that they walk your food to you- it is equalled into the waiters wage- anything above that is you being graceful for great service.
Sure- they should just take that out in the bill- most waiters agree- this way they dont have to rely on "singing for their supper" but the fact is- most restruants dont- unless 5 or more people are sitting at the table.
Most restruants leave it up to the customer to understand the common curtisy...
do the rules suck- yeah- but they are the rules and if you do not like the rules don't eat out- pain and simple.

you cheap euro fuckers are still fighting for your right to be scrooge? Seriously you'll never get it. If your waiters are making 6 pound I say don't tip them, ours aren't making 1/2 of that and if you come here and I eat with you and you dont tip...I will hold you down and write 'cheap euro fucker' on your face.
:P
good morning btw.

Dude, eat at an Asian resturant, they don't expect tip. Also there is no service: you walk in , they seat you, you eat, then its like next...
but Pho is so good!
