I guess they should probably start featuring more fat people in ads too. :) I mean the majority of people in this country at least are overweight. Seriously, though, these are ads we're talking about. Do people really take them that seriously?

the sad thing is - advertising is taken very seriously by the masses.

The majority of ppl you see on tv, ads, images are white...because the majority of people are white (at least in the areas where these things are produced.
On the other hand, one shouldn't get upset when they do not see many white ppl in hip hop, because the majority of ppl in that field are not white.
Also, I do not agree with this, but a company has the right to hire whoever they want for ads. They are probably shooting their company in the foot by cutting off a whole demographic...but that should be their call.
Just curious...does FUBU or Sean John have many white models?
We should probably just focus out attention to the design of these ads...

Nick I think you're right. Son, again sorry to not catch on, because it's a very good point and issue to discuss.
I've dealt with it before. I've had clients ask me to take out any "coloured" people in mockups. It's disgusting that this still happens.

it kind of makes me sick, to tell you the truth. But, I see ads artistically. When I see an ad that doesn't represent me, I don't get upset at all. There is too much negativity in this world. And, I'm too much of a dreamer. :)
- wetterink0
if you see an add with someone that looks like you...will you be more likely to buy the product?

The abercrombie law suit isn't about the fuckin ads. It's about abercrombie not hiring non-white people in their stores cos it conflicts with the image they are trying to project

i think there should a lot more different races in ads...i am just wondering who should have the say so...the courts? the companys? the buyers? the designers?

son you're an idiot. You obviously have personal issues, or think being a militant blackman is a cool thing to be.. There is no legal requirement to have an ethnic mix in ur ads. The legal issue is based on work laws.
You are a retard.
Dumbass
