I'm sure a few of you will remember the logo-crit for this. Anyway, a few months and a lot of hard work has passed and I'm nearly finished on the website.
I like to hear some thoughts on the "Artwork" area down the bottom. I'm happy with how that area will work, but I'm not sure about when you click a image and the way it opens. (The only one that works right now is option 1 - [fathom]...
The image opens in the right-hand pane, but seems to confined. What about a new window - do people consider it intrusive these days?
I've tried v. hard to make the site validate. It's pure XHTML / CSS too so any issues let me know.

safari / osx...the mp3 archive scrolls horizontally...as for the artwork looking confined...i think it is because the "found" section stays open...if you get rid of that when an artwork section is open you have more freedom with your framing...maybe put the thumbnails down the left side since most of the artwork is portrait-shaped and then the image can be larger and with more padding...you might want some more breathing room on top of the login form as well...looks great tho...i dig it

do you have some sort of tag line? not quite sure of what i am looking at.
for example. is it your work site? is it a personal site? is it about music? is it about photography? if it's for all of the above then it feels disjointed.
looks pretty though

it confused me in 1.3 seconds.

It's basically a community forum... currently there's a PHPBB thingy and I've been keen to get the best elements of that on too the main site and trash it.
It's contributed art, poems, music, news, photography.... and area for people to share whatever their passion is..
I have a problem testing for safari / osx as I don't have OSX!!!
It even works in Opera to a point. It doesn't like nested iframes though..

me too actually – not quite sure why the URL and the name on the logotype are different?
whats the sites main focus?
like the general feel.

it's a spare URL I use for testing...

it IS still in development... so things are going to change. The structure is fixed.. but the style isn't... even the login area is just plonked where it fell..
Focus as I said, is simply a community forum.... There's no set focus, just what the users come up with..
