found this in a comment on computerlove..
cheap and easy way to copyright your work..
print it and on the back of it, write the date and your signutur. put it in a envelope and send it to your self. when you recieve it, don't open it. save it instead.
can it be done this way?

It's called the poor man's copyright, and the Federally applied dates in the form of stamps ensure legitimate dating.
As far as opening, maybe put a bunch of clear tape across the opening so it would tear to holy hell if you tried?

You don't really need to do anything to have copyright (you don't need to register it or anything), but this is one way to document your copyrighted work...
