  I like the first, but as he said.. the red distracts from the photos...

  The smaller menu font etc is also too big.

  not sure if you are designing on a mac or pc.. but on my mac the contrast is pretty low for the white and grey. (a bit brighter than pc screen)

  maybe darken the grey a bit
