Just to settle a debate. Do any of you web developers 100% hand-code sites? In notepad?

Nope.
I do however go into dreamweaver 'code view' and do a little hand coding in there, seeing as it's sometimes easier.

This twat is trying to undermine me by insisting DWMX will ad bulk. I'm of the opinion it writes pretty good code, but has limits.

Moth, most newbies that are attached to ideals say that shit, I see it all the time. He's a hater that's trying to act superior on petty shit. Notepad is for children, he could have at least made a better case for hand-coding by pushing UltraEdit or the like.

Ultraedit for Javascript, asp,php etc

In my experience, dreamweaver doesn't always behave or do what you want it to. 9 times out of 10, it's being silly about some or other.
so you have to bully it using the code view, then, it'll do what you want, sometimes.

I use DW in code view only. Except for making tables, then i use it as WYSIWYG..
HTML kit & Ultra edit for coding else..

100% textpad and I can build a page faster than most can with DW.
My experience with dreamweaver is that it works fine if you just want a 2x3 table. But as soon as you need to do something irregular, like working with DIVs because of layering etc. DW just does not do the job. Also if you work template based, either with ServerSide or without, it is way better to have handwritten code.

80% Dreamweaver, 10% HomeSite, 10% Notepad
Dreamweaver is good to get the basics down, but if you really want proper code, you'll have to edit by hand at some point.

yeh but atleast they look good while they piss you off... try a pc... design usually looks like crap + they suck just as bad ;)
