you'll give web design a bad name... Why is it always a rush to do things?
Is it coz you charge out at a quarter of a day?

as a freelance day rate I asked for 25/hr

if it take a day to dig a hole, how long does it take to dig a quarter of a hole?

a daily rate is how much you charge for a days work.
6 hours or so.
depends what youre used to.example: if you charge £120 a day and you do 2 and a half days work you charge £300

Hey engage,
I wish I could charge project rates for what I do...but the projects are always so scattered and unorganizzed...and considering the time frames I have for things...figuring out project rates would take too much time for my clients........

rate per project yeah but always tallt up your hours and if it goes over the quoted amount then their end price is on the meter.

Another thing, would you do half days or quarter days....wouldn't it make sense to do it hourly instead of that? This would be work offsite too.

very few projects are daily rates... except possibly retainers... plus if you start charging by the hour you sound like a paperboy

To all NT freelancers:
If you are going to charge a rate for the entire day, does that mean an 8-hour shift ? What if they don't start work until late in the afternoon, does thsi mean you strat an eight hout dhift at like 4pm and don't stop until midnight? Or.....do you start at 9am and let the client know that his clock is running and that your charging him, otherwise why not just do an hourly rate? What are the pro's and cons of charging for the entire day? Let me know your thoughts.
