I'm in heaven. I finally got round to getting a ZX Spectrum emulator on my Mac running ELITE and have been hyperspacin' all about everywhere buying drugs n' slaves n' illegal shit, blowing people up, getting in trouble with thargoids, all in all having more fun than a playstation or a wank ever gave me....

macmame is an emulator for arcade video roms, so you can basically play anything that used to be in the arcade, cant say fairer than that really!

elite was so good in its day.
I used to play it on a BBC micro in schoolI couldn't help but notice how similar Freelancer on the PC is in a few ways to Elite

i wish someone would develop a version for the playstation or such. It would have the potential to be a mammoth game...

it's a little slow as games go for a console, as pretty and as vast as the game universe is i don't see it being a great console version
