FUCK (cap locks) soul crushing work. Do projects that make you happy and spark something. Been there done that, evolve. I moved to Portland with zero connections, no money, no retail experience, no nothing and I've been able to carve out a small nitch and it's only getting better. People thought I was f'ing nuts for doing that too. I've worked on a freelance level for almost every top tier design firm here and guess what!?!? It didn't make me any happier. Find your own clients, make your own products, work with people you respect and like, even if they don't like you.
I now have a creative team behind both of these projects, partial thanks to all of you!!!!!!!!! CAPLOCKS~! Big headers! WIPs! galore!!!! You guys helped me out so tremondously, I cannot thank you enough. Grain of salt, grain of salt... And to Fate, I'm posting my shoebox on 6.10.13, next week... Hate it all you want, there's a solid chance it will sell, and I say that with confidence, not arrogance. I've already talked to people that understand it's benefits.
