  is it true? Japan is rich?
  I thought Japan have been in one of the worst economic downturns in their history, even way before the tsunami hit.

  Not only I would NOT hire this person, but on their way out I would have said "YOU will NEVER find another job in this industry!"

  Then use all my connections to make sure that that happens. (trust me I've done it in the past)
