Similar to DaveO, but in san diego.
I finished eating and took took the remaining of my food with me, usually, when at the beach, I run into a homeless person on my way home so I leave him/her the food, otherwise it's going on my fridge. This one time, a guy asked me for change and I said, would you like some food instead?
and I reached out my bag to him.
He took a glance at it and said: "what's in it?"
And I was like, hmmm there's some sushi, white rice and chickenNo Thanks, he replied..
I didn't say anything to him, I mean.. I guess he was not starving and in the mood for something else?
