I hated having a boss. Much happier now.

The pros of my current situation are: First, that I have a great, steady, (relatively) solvent client who brings in considerably more income than my entire salary before going solo. Second, I get to work from home and dictate my hours.

The cons of my current situation: giving 75% of one's time to a single client is risky and limits one's ability to grow. I have a few other clients, but once the current busyness subsides, I'll be itching to diversify. The trouble is that in order to do that effectively, I'll prolly have to hire someone. Which means that in order to pay a salary + benefits, I'll have some very long, crazy hours in the in-between-phase while increasing my capital. The other downside: working from home provides copious distractions. Especially when you've got a cute toddler who doesn't understand that daddy needs solitude from 9–6 in order to get anything done.
