I'm having a hard time seeing your aesthetic in any of these. The photo eye version seems more fitting for a photographer. The illustrated eye more fitting for an illustrator. Your work seems to marry the two. Utilize YOUR skills. Pull some of what YOU bring to the table into your OWN design.
We can offer advice, but if you're going to spend most of your time here trying to validate your position, you won't learn or garner anything from the sagely wisdom some of these very talented people have.
