To everyone here who thinks you don't need a degree but have one anyway: why did you get one? I'm genuinely curious. I have my own reasons (for myself) and theories (about other people), of course, but I'm interested to hear from people in the industry.
- I got a degree to LEARN about design, and to build a portfolio. I got both.monospaced
- I almost did an MA but decided against it because it wasn't really my thing.Jaline
- raw talent isn't enough
it needs practice, learning how to engage in a systematic design process, learning design history.Nadooy - I'm still studying though. dunno how it is i the "real" world.
