dear dskz (and apologies for anyone who lives in miami):
i lived there for 20 years. people there can be cool, but dating there is some sort of ridiculous fronting joke. nothing is what it seems, nobody knows how to act decently towards one-another and if you're a nice person looking for another nice person, you have an uphill battle ahead of you. that doesn't mean it can't happen, just that it's about 1000 times harder there than anywhere else.
dating is not a piece of cake anywhere, but there are definitely places where education, manners, character and intellect are valued more than prada bags and rented mercedes. she sounds like just about all the girls i've ever known there and dumping her was probably a good move. she's acting as if she's in high school, walking ahead of you and acting different when other are around...don't you deserve better?
