  No, they could eat the kind of food ordinary people eat at a price per head that reflects the average western standard. If they did that they'd be eating better than 90% of the population. Heaven forbid they might try and add some realism to their meeting by having a go at eating what's available to the poor. I wouldn't expect them to play at being paupers, but eating the very finest japanese cuisine is, quite literally, a bit rich.
