"I hereby give my consent to the practise of watching me, which I do freely on the understanding that the apparatus serves to protect me as a law abiding citizen. The apparatus of observation can be put in place now with my full consent, and I understand that future events may make it necessary to extend the apapratus of observation, and that I will then, as now, only need to fear this if I am in violation of the laws of this land. To this end it is feasible that the apparatus' structure may grow closer to me, and that the ideas I currently hold about privacy and private space may need to be reappraised at some future date. As long as I stay within the law, I should have no reason to fear the apparatus creep that may need to enter my home for the public good. "
