I wouldn't call this a complete fail.
I mean to be honest, you could have done what I normally do in this situation which is to just drink yourself into a horrible stupor. For some reason even after stunts like that, where I'll say drink a bottle of vodka only to realize how much I drank right before I black out, it might be a fail for that night but no girl actually ceases contact with me.
If I ever thought about it, it would probably boggle my mind as to why not, but I don't really want to know why because I might end up messing that up.
