I'm torn on this one, skt - it's an interesting exercise, and if I think about from the Socket perspective, I almost quite like it - or at least, I like where you could take it.
However, I find it hard to force myself to not perceive it as a GCSE art exercise in toying with letter forms and space - and at its simplest, too, with austere blocks on a simple grid.
imvho, if you could emphasise the socket'n'plug aspect (how the negative fits into the positive), you'd be on to a winner - as it is, I kind of agree with the pre-millennial doodling sentiment.
// Maybe if you had some electricity arcing between the two forms - or flames, or a pussy cat with lasers coming out it's eyes..
(or maybe just curve-out the right-end half of the second S, to make it plug like,.. but that's treading on tat territory)
