Dry Sauvignon Blancs and not-to-sweet Reislings pair very well with roast chicken. additionally, if there is a nice pork product folded into the roast (think pancetta, prosciutto, bacon) a champagne or sparkling wine is great as well. often overlooked, but affordable and a nice change in textures.
