British people actively seek out disapointment, that why they use public trasport. We're not happy unless we have something to moan about.
If on the odd occasion a fellow commutor makes the effort to speak to you, most people offer one word answers in the hope that the conversation won't last.
The heat, lack of space and the body odor of a bearded, menopausal polish woman in your face don't make it any better either.
