    People years later would tell me how if it wasn't for me they would have had a nervous breakdown, and thanked me for being a pillar during such trying times.

    To be honest.

    I knew being in Pittsburgh nothing was going to happen to us, especially when the one plane flew OVER Pittsburgh doing nothing, then looped BACK because it was headed to Ohio as opposed to DC.

    Commonsense factor kind of took a hold of me and was one of the first times I didn't think I was the center of the universe.

    My one cousin had just moved to Brooklyn and was working in Manhattan though, and we didn't hear from her for 2 days but I knew she was alrite for some reason.

    I can see why older people wouldn't remember the year so much. Dates become much more relevant when they happen year in and year out, as opposed to the origin of said events when you've lived so many.
