That is just samrt leadership to use up other peoples oil before your own, unless you come up with alternatives. Plus now with the middle east being a monstro clusterfuck, I would, if I were the leader, give a ton of fucking loot to MIT and other universities and say "figga that shit out. fool".

---I'm game w/that scenario... but the truth is - we are still going to rely on oil for years to come... perhaps we should maybe use some of our resources to support ourselves WHILE funding the research for ways to get off the oil.
... i'm thinking of the 'world' here. :) I realize I'm being idealistic... but I think it's doable and the U.S. should rely on their own energy resources.
