you know... if some folks would loosen up the EPA standards on drilling for resources over here... we (america) could 'ease up' on our energy imports...
... and keep working on New forms of energy while working w/in our own resources...
If we let the il companies go up there and drill, yes it will buy us sometime, but it is all going to run out soon anyway. Exxon/Mobil's policy is to NOT spend a dime on developing ANY alternative fuel options. You think the govt is going to make them? hahahahahahahahaha
Anyone who even gets close to one gets shut down.
Hey, we are the assholes that keep buying all these SUV's and driving around the corner. We are the ones that insist that we have to drive to work by ourselves. Why dont we buy smaller, more fuel efficient cars? Wont look as cool I gues. The American consumer is the one to blame here. Not the oil companies. We are the ones that went out and bought up every four wheel drive SUV to drive on the highway. (mmm gotta have that 4WD.)
