I agree that most people take it if they can't afford it and purchase later. I'm not saying that's everyone, and I'm not saying it's right, but it's pretty damn close to necessary to someone who has no money and wants to be a designer.
Like I said, it's not the best option, but it's an option, and not a horrible one if most end up buying legit once they make some dough.
How many MM or Adobe purchases are made by people who learned those programs using pirated copies as students or broke freelancers?
