Can't you create a version of the PSD that has superfluous artboards removed and have the area cropped in question, then export from that?
- < thisfadein11
- I deleted all artboards and it still does it :(nylon
- Are those artboards part of an embedded smart object?detritus

as far as I know you will need to export your artboards and then redraw them in photoshop into a file that doesn't contain multiple dartboards. you need to export each artboard. do this by right clicking on the artboard within the layers panel and choose "export as" (or alternatively if all dartboards will be exported just go under file > export as
dartboards and animated gifs don't work in photoshop. hopefully this will be fixed.
- not redraw. you will need to re-drop them into a new 728x90 file.lvl_13
- So basically just do them in fireworks? I knew I should have done this in the beginning... :(nylon
- nope just create a new PSD, it will take no longer than 5 minutes to do.fadein11
- artboard artboard artboard artboard artboard stop auto-correcting SOBlvl_13
- make a selection at the right size, copy merged then new doc, then paste each frame into a new layer (this is automatic)fadein11

Just to let you know - none of this worked :(
Just my solution to try and help...
Deleted the artboards I didnt need.
Save as PSD
Open PSD in Fireworks and do it all from there...
Fuck Photoshop...
Why oh why they just wont do a new version of Fireworks - buy what do I know - clearly not much
Thanks to everyone who tried to help

All of the suggestions above would work. Just an FYI for anyone that comes across this problem in the future.
You should probably just abandon fireworks (the same way adobe has). There is no reason to hold on to legacy software at this point (I did it with flash for a long time, so this isn’t a diss. It’s just a solid reco to love along :D

Easier method (similar to lvl_13's).
In LAYERS panel, right-click ARTBOARD > Duplicate Artboard (Choose NEW under "Destination > Document". It'll open the artboard aka dartboard into a new PSD.
Then expoat yo gif....
- Basically, you can't have multiple artboards, so you need to isolate it in it's own PSDfyoucher1
