Who's going to give this a try?

Very cool!
This is the future of Tv for sure.Very cool to have all the network at the same place. At the moment its a real pain, each network having their way to present stuff.

i like this idea as well. FU Rogers and Bell!!
wait, not in canada... tabernac.

Channel lineup at the moment isn't very impressive. 1/4 of all the channels are sports only, there's no AMC or most major cable networks, and the only premium add-on is Showtime.
- Plus all audio is downgraded to stereo, meaning surround sound isn't an option for shows or movies.monospaced
- For me, this is a total deal-breaker. I love me some real surround sound, and it's quite literally on everything broadcast these days.monospaced
- ETM1
Doesn't this eat into Hulu's business model... as partnered by these same Networks?
- Hulu isn't a live broadcast streaming service (yet). This eats into actual cable companies.monospaced
- But same content, only different delivery. It eats into both markets.ETM

- this is what we use for our internet in Mexicomoldero
- That's some hi-tech shit right there.dbloc
- Actually works really well.nb
- I have a $15 HD antennae that is pretty nice (when it gets a signal), amazing how clear the pic isformed
- Over air HD is actually uncompressed, relatively, unlike what is rebroadcast over cable.monospaced
- Yeah I get about 10 channels in Manhattan, all clear and sharp.nb
- BTW Did you guys know Jeopardy now has embedded marketing in the questions / answers?!?! What a shock!nb

The competition is getting fierce. Should be great for consumers. I just got some Comcast promo deal with HBO, etc., for free for a year.
Now, let's hope that stupid Net Neutrality thing doesn't start jacking costs.

AT&T comes included with the rent :-/
- DRIFTMONKEY-1
Price point isn't quite there yet. I'd do $10.

I've been using the trial month. Of course I don't live in any of the cities (and not even the country) where it's available.
1. I had to side load the APK since it wasn't available on my country's Google Store.
2. Then you need to spoof the GPS location to one of the cities supported by enabling developer options in Android and downloading an GPS faker/debugger from the store.
3. Get a VPN that allows you to appear to be connecting from the city as well.
Once you have the GPS and VPN covered you can open the app and sign up for the trial. The VPN at this moment is needed only for the initial signup, once you registered it only requires the fake GPS location and you can even use Chromecast with it to watch on your TV.
- Besides the live TV you can go into each channel section and they have most of their shows on demand, some even have all the seasons (like the Simpsons on FOX)ernexbcn

I thought the whole point of "You" Tube was that it was user generated content.
I watch YT to get away from all these mainstream TV channels.
- That YouTube is still there and will remain unchanged, probably forever.monospaced
- True, it just seems like this belongs under a different brand or something.yuekit
- like Google?
