Take your family on a biketour with my buddy Mark. He's been living there almost 20 years, and he really knows all the best spots. His tripadvisor ratings are through the roof, you really can't go wrong with this guy

I live in BCN, check this link for city activities
I see they are going to open the Montjuic Castle every sunday of April and May at 4pm for children activities, but if it's theatre or things like that keep in mind is going to be in catalan.

Hi guys... i live 500km from there (i'm from Basque Country), i was asking for some more specific for this weekend.
And yes, i love this city too!
For anyone visiting it for first time, go to this place: http://cancortada.com/ and try out their meat on salt (they serve the sirloin over afire salt heated in the parrilla direct on your table), precious if you're visiting it with your loved one.

Have fun - such a great city - go to that food market and the small restaurant on the edge of it - hands down best tapas I have ever eaten. The city is full of amazing food and not expensive. One of the best cities I have ever visited.
Not to mention the art/culture. And dare I say it - the Picasso museum.
- There's a nice small café two houses down from Picasso museum. Nice yard to sit in and have a glass of wine.SimonFFM

Not there, but it is one of my fav cities in Europe. El Born is a quarter that I enjoy very much.
Depending on how young your daughters are, you might want to go to an amusement park which is located very far at the top of a hill. An express bus goes to there from the city center.
