Not much to see in terms of design in Mexico. It's not a respected or appreciated field. People still struggle with the idea that a logo costs more than 20 bucks.
Take pics of hand painted signage. Foreigners seem to always go crazy for them and practically get boners looking at them, while a lot of locals simply think they are ugly and make the city look dirty. Weird contrast.
Other than that I would go to Art museums, like Museo Nacional de Arte, Museo Tamayo, Museo de Art Moderno and for some real prehispanic stuff check Teotihuacan.

Would you say that something will designed or to graphic designy was often perceived as unaffordable? Or Expensive?- Not sure I get the question.

Check out the traditional design stuff. National museum, diego rivera has murals all over the place, go check out his crib, theres gotta be graphic design stuff around, I bought some stuff in some shop a couple years ago, sorry can't remember the name.
Whenever Im in a new city I usually make my way to the modern art museum and try to get info from that point.
Love mexico city!
