Luckily there are some guys like Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and plenty of others carrying on or reviving a classic country sound, instead of the bro-country audio turds Nashville has been turning out the last few years. I'm a huge fan of both these guys.
Built up a pretty nice vinyl ollection of my longtime favorites like Willie, Waylon, Kris Kristofferson, and some others but not sure I have any Merle at the moment.

We don't smoke marijuana in Muskogee .... RIP
- The irony, of course, is that he was a big pothead. He was a great songwriter.monkeyshine

I am so grateful I got to see Merle Haggard play at the Belly Up (an intimate venue in Solana Beach) a few years ago. It was a privilege to get to shake the legend's hand.
In the last few years I've seen Elton John, James Taylor, Kenny Loggins, Willie Nelson, and Billy Joel and I'm hoping to go see Dolly when she goes out on tour this year. I want to see as many of the icons as possible before it's too late. RIP Merle.
