ever since espn shelved grantland, there's a gaping hole in my daily original content reading list. the rest can be pretty heavy while grantland offered levity, sports and culture.

what are good daily sites for original content? (no social media / required social logins, please. don't have that stuff.)

i've got the atlantic, new yorker, nytimes, guardian all set. vulture and av club for dumb entertainment bullshit. digg and reddit for random links. gawker as a guilty pleasure.

but i dunno - what's actually good and not corporate these days?

Why not stop being a retard and sign up for twitter, then follow everything you're interested. There you'll have everything you like, all in one feed...

I like http://qz.com but if you're already reading The Atlantic every day, you might find it redundant.

never create pig troughs. force yourself to go out and find the content you want. Be surprised how little effort u really want to put in to it. I've recently killed my speeddial at home and realizing how much less time i spend surfing shit i don't really want to read or need to read, than when im at work. When i have to think about the url's and type them I also think about what i expect to find and usually just get back to work.

one link i do type in when i want to peruse the world news is fark.com

    • "Pig Troughs", never looked at it that way.keewee
    • Isn't Fark a pig trough in itself?Cosmodrome
