Anyone have any snappy suggestions/examples?
Presenting two sets of tag lines, each with a different emphasis based on positioning.

Can you take any advice from Mad Men
Maybe have a scotchy scotch and then present the first one. Finish the scotch.
Then pour yourself some Vodka and add olives. Present the second one. Finish the martini!
See which one they like after profit!

ok, but seriously. If you are presenting two options for taglines to a client, then don't confuse the decision they are making with 'interesting visuals'.
The job in hand is to choose Option 1 or Option 2. Show the taglines on their own (or at the bottom of a positioning statement) and let them be judged on their content. Then, if need be, show an example of how the tagline might look in the real world (eg locked-up to their logo).
I'm a believer in keep the client focused on the task in hand. If the conversation is not about visual designs, then don't show any. If work is still in early development, then present as sketches, not polished visuals etc.
The way you present work communicates quite a bit about what the clients is expected to do next.

I agree, just show the copy.
Much like designers present logo options without color to avoid decisions based on color preference.
