Some random dude on Twitter responded to one of my tweets and offered to transfer me a software license he was no longer using so it could at least get used by someone. Legit too, as the transfer was processed through the developer.
How do I thank him properly considering it was worth $300 US? Super generous and I've thanked in words but would like to offer some further token of appreciation. Is there some way to buy him a beer over Twitter or something? (Tweet-a-beer is long dead)

there's plenty of e-gift cards out there, but you should probably go with a handjob.

I decided on an Amazon e-card since a tweet mentioned he was a Prime subscriber.

1) Ask him what charity he likes and send them 10% of your next cheque
2) designer? Subscription to a few mags: CA, HOW, or whatever is industry specific for him
3) Bestbuy or B&H gift certificate
4) TED talk tixx, or tixx to some design talk in his town
5) hit him with a Seamless, grub hub orders, muncherie order, or 2 wks of blue apron
orderJust shit I would like.
