For those that work in offices outside of your home, what are your hours?
Are you "afraid" to be the first person to leave and often work 15- overtime or does everyone leave at the same time?
Would your hours be different if you had a different commute?

are you asking towards salaried employees or consultants?
also are you asking towards a design studio hours?i'm salaried.. my company day is 830am til 530pm - however our design team usual hours are 9am-8pm and sometimes we do saturdays.. 10am till 3pm.
but the rest of the company jets at 530pm on the dot. they also take full hour lunches, something in design we don't do. if we eat, we eat it fast...

Just have to do 8 hours a day. Usually I come in from 9-6. No working from home unless it's a special case.

Hours are 9:30 - 5:30pm except summer Fridays we get out at 4pm. I'm usually on time but most people get in around 9:45-10am. During my lunch, I spend an hour and a half at the gym and 30 minutes eating lunch. I also take lots of breaks.

Full time salaried employee in NYC. Typically in the office by 8:30 am, always a quick lunch at my desk and out by 6pm. This summer the company implemented summer Fridays to be out by 1pm which I took full advantage of until about a week ago b/c of workload.
I also commute about an hour each way. I often put in a late night hour and a few over the weekend from home just b/c.

9:00 - 5:30 on the dot.
And I rarely come to the office on weekends unless I really have to but I rather take work home.

11-6 at a studio three days a week. From home the other two. I will piss in the face of anyone who asks me to work weekends.

10-7 rarely stay late past 7. Never worked a weekend hour.

7hr day unless something is pressing or got mismanaged terribly, those hours are fairly flexible. I'm in a partnership so there are hours outside of that for me personally but not really for employees.

I'm expected to put in at least 8 hours a day, which I usually do, but it's really all about getting the work done. Sometimes it involves a late night and/or weekend work, but over the years I've managed to mitigate those experiences. I've figured out how to get what I need done between 9-5:30 most days.

they say 930a to 730p, but in realitty is like 1030a to 8p
