wow, just looking on eBay, be prepared to shell out big $$. crazier than the stuff I look for. you might be better off getting a neo geo or a Pc engine, etc if you have the $ and are really just looking for vintage gaming?

Their second GUI shell had an Amiga/Next feel.
I prefer the older shell for pure 80s90s feel.

So what's with the two sections, was it supposed to be modular or something?

I will never understand all this retro computing stuff.
I completely understand old tube amps, old cars, houses etc.. but old computers and gaming consoles are totally useless. The software you run on it can also be emulated for those who want to use it.
Can somebody explain it to me?

Basically this was a customized PC environment that was used primarily to develop arcade games for the Jamma spec. It will usually come bundled with the same software that companies like Capcom used to develop games like Street FIghter 2 and Final Fight.
I would love to see it function for historical purposes.

Holy shit, this was quite a powerful wee machine for the time.. although it doesn't look like it was cheap.
Better than the macs of the time, but not justifiably better than the era's Amigas and Ataris. Probbaly kicked contemporary Macintoshes though
