Is there anywhere online that offers this service?
I'm wandering where i might find developers who want to do more personal projects and vice versa. So the payment is really only a trade in skills

I'd actually be into this type of trade/collaboration.

Is there any printer that offers free printing?
Some nice, letterpressed cards with gold foil would look great in their portfolio and the designer's.
- You've clearly totally misread the question.set

By human nature - you'll demand more and he should expect less. I'm sure project will go swimmingly.

I'm not sure why there's so much resistance to this. They are personal projects.
Person A has a good idea and wants to learn or practice a new skill but can't code to save their life. So they mock everything up and now they have fancy be-hance concept.
Person B has been reading and doing tutorials on new techniques and is looking for somewhere to implement this new knowledge.
Person A meets Person B and kizmit! seems pretty natural and mutually beneficial to me.
If you find you want to turn this into a product later or even from the start just put together a contract defining percentages and go into it understanding it's a risk. Side note: if you are really serious about a new product it may be worth the cost to hire someone so you can retain full control over design, strategy etc...
- So Person B can't design to save their life?omahadesigns
- I know plenty of programmers who are horrible at design and recognize it.voiceof
- I also know programmers who create horrible user experiences (often handled by design). It's often seen as minutiae that they don't want to think through.voiceof
- Some people are better at certain things than others. Why not team up to put something out better than you could do on your own.voiceof

What you're looking for in a working relationship I found YEARS ago...
... RIGHT HERE ON QBN! (and when it was NT)
I have had a number of 'working relationships' develop via this forum directly. Some are exactly as you're looking for - simple collaboration on a project that both believe in (or full-blown paying gigs). I've made friends who I've been able to help and vice versa. This is a 'community'... right? :)
I wouldn't be surprised if someone from QBN responds wanting to work with you (That's if you presented what you were looking to do). There are plenty of people who will see the benefit that both can gain by sharing / working together as you're suggesting... ignore the hate and good luck to you!
