Riviera Maya, Mexico (in the Caribbean near Cancun and Playa Del Carmen). Tulum, Chichen Itza and Xcaret are nearby as well. Get an all-inclusive resort and you have a guaranteed paradise experience. My wife and I did that and it was absolutely perfect.
- I did one week in Cozumel and one week in Riviera Maya for mine. Was great, esp Cozumel, you rent a scooter and circle the island, stop'n at deterred beaches.prophetone
- If you want to know what Cozumel is like, just watch Against All Odds.prophetone
- *deserted beachesprophetone
- Also Cozumel has the amazingly chill Bob Marley Bar, omg just beer and fresh salsa with a breeze... http://bobmarleybar.…prophetone
- Ah yes yes, and Cozumel is right there too. Aaaaah, take me back!Krassy

For honeymoon the wife and I did a couple of weeks in NY then a week in Aruba.
NY was amazing. Wasn't my first time there but was the wifes. Lots of good food, wandering around getting lost, lots of shopping, galleries and museums.
The week in Aruba was a bit of a waste to be honest. Neither of us are beach or pool bums and it was f*cking roasting there! Probably the hottest place I've ever been to. We literally spent most of the time in our room during the days and only venturing out at night when it was slightly cooler.
The down-time was good though after NY and also after the adrenalin buzz that is wedding and all the hype up beforehand.
When you are on your honeymoon it feels great (and strange) to just be doing NOTHING! when you've just spent the last months (or more) leading up to the wedding going at 100mph.
Not sure if I'd recommend Aruba. Beaches were beautiful but the place was crawling with American tourists. I'd choose one of the islands that was a bit less popular with the americans.
- Drove to NY from TO for a couple of days, amazing city, definitely have to go back.meatball

We went to Sardinia, Italy and it was by far the best vacation I've ever been on. Amazing sights, pristine beaches, fantastic local cuisine, the people are super friendly, and the value is unmatched. Rent a car and just explore, theres so much to see and do there. We did Cagliari and the Costa Smeralda / La Maddalena area. Recommend a boat cruise in the la Magdalena archipelago, and the caves/beaches in cala gonone. I didn't think Porto cervo was anything special.
