I am a sole trader graphic designer in the UK, and have a few projects lined up that could mean I could work whilst going away for August. Also my long term rented flat is being sold, so I am thinking of putting everything in storage and thinking of taking a bit of a break for a month - 6 weeks, and working remotely whilst away.
I need some suggestions on where to go, as the world is my oyster! It would be nice to find a villa somewhere for August that I could work from but also relax and enjoy the weather. Nothing too expensive, but would need a good Wifi connection and a great view!
I have travelled a bit, and travelled much of India and South East Asia in the past, also explored quite a bit of Europe, but could do with some suggestions on some great, cheap, safe and relaxing places to base myself for a month from where I could work on my laptop too.
Some suggestions to rent an apartment/villa for a month so far have been Montpellier in South of France, Sri Lanka, Bali or Southern Spain or maybe Puglia in Italy.
I'd welcome your input, and suggestions, and any inspiration or recommendations you may have on places to stay

This site has a list of locations that are popular to work remotely along with cost, internet speed etc:
I spent some time in SE Asia this year (Chiang Mai, Phuket, Bali and Saigon) and one thing that is great are all the co-working spaces they have now with fast internet such as Hubud in Bali. Bali overall is still unreliable for internet speed, but is getting better.
Most destinations in Asia are also going to be significantly cheaper than somewhere like France or Spain, but ultimately it depends what you are looking for in terms of day to day experience.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Think about what times you need to be available for clients. If you need to keep business hours, Asia might be out.
I'd go for a big city (lots of options in terms of wifi / working while out) that's close to nature / beach. Montpellier or Barcelona would be ideal but won't be a cheap option in August. Scandinavia?

Little village in Italy by the sea! Good food, even better wine, happy people and beautiful surroundings..
