Can we SOLELY use sketch for UI/UX today?
This from 2013, http://www.creativebloq.com/khoi…

Far from it. But one day maybe.

I just bought a license for Sketch since one of my clients uses it. But I'm not really seeing the appeal. What are the main advantages vs. Adobe?

Been using if for a few months and its great for interface design; Illustrator is overkill and using Photoshop is an unfortunate hack.
- < Yes. Ive recently been asked to stop using Fireworks by ur developer and was forced to use Photoshop. It's (PS) so tedious to use it drives me crazy.Josev
- "Ur developer.." — my developer?! ;)studderine

sketch is great. it has a large cult following. it's miles better for UI design over CC.
BUT, it has very slow performance. And I always hated the workflow of it.
I've switched to Antetype and it trumps sketch in every way. Float cells, shrink/expand cells (responsive design), margin, padding. Basically designing with numbers not placement. It's too bad few no about it in comparison to sketch.

Ancient thread bump.
I have a big UI job coming up for a mapping app and the client wants to prototype everything in marvelapp first then build it out. They have bags of money so I'm happy to go this route. Thing is, there's a sketch plugin for marvelapp so I'm thinking it's a good opportunity to move to sketch and see if I can get Ai/Ps out of my workflow for UI work.
I've been reading up and playing around with sketch but haven't done anything big so far and don't want to go down that rabbit-hole if it sucks.
So, anyone still using sketch? Is it good/bad/ugly? Are there any must-have plugins so that it has the functionality I want?
thanks!
- Been using it for 2 years now, it's improved my work life. I hate when I'm forced to open Ai/Ps now.Al_dizzle
- I use it exclusively and I'm finding more places are too. Also, I'm finding its become more of a standard than Pshopwhatthefunk
- I've been using marvelapp since the beginning too, very good at simulating gesture/motion in a prototype. Also, the annotate plugin is A+whatthefunk

I primarily use Sketch. It's improving all the time. I use it with InVision so can't speak to Marvelapp plugin but my experience between Sketch and InVision is seamless.
There are still some things about it that make me crazy but overall it's my go-to app for work.

Groovy thanks for the replies - I think I'm becoming a convert after a bit more play. I'll look at invision too - marvelapp has a couple of annoying quirks in an otherwise sweet package so I might see if the alternatives are worth it.
