Im creating an html email which will be distributed as an OFT through Outlook.
Testing it in Outlook 2013, for some reason all of the fonts show up larger than they do in a web browser. I'm just using regular CSS. What could cause this?

If you're not already using pixels, use pixels. I believe Outlook has a base font size of 11 instead of 16 like all browsers.

Im using pixels. 14px in google chrome looks smaller than it does when I send this through my outlook. Already checked the zoom, its at 100%, so outlook is somehow making all fonts larger than the pixel size says they should be.

you might have to use inline CSS or at the very least, font tags for Outlook...

Something is fucked up with outlook 2013. Sent it from another machine using Outlook 2007 and everything looks perfect. Something is funky trying to send this through 2013.
Ive been having problems creating html emails ever since I upgraded to 2013.
- I actually abandoned CSS entirely. Its just not working properly in 2013.CygnusZero4

Yeah this is weird. A buddy of mine took my html file and created the OFT in outlook 2007 and sent it back to me, and when I open it everything is scaled up, yet Im at 100% zoom in outlook. WTF man!

When I send the email out through O2013, instead of being 582px wide which the tables are set to, its somehow scaling it up to 727. Ugh why????????
- Found a fix, Launch outlook in safe mode. In run window enter Outlook /safe.CygnusZero4

The newer versions out Outlook abandoned IE as the rendering engine in favour of the MS Office/Word engine... which makes IE look like a star.
