Yeah I know we got a million headphones threads.
I'm looking for the best wireless set you may have seen or use. Mainly running and gymWife's birthday next month and she has been asking about them.
Amazon reviews are all over the place. Looks like this technology is not quite perfected yet.

I forget the brand but I bought a pair like this a few years ago and hated them. They were heavy and could feel the back part bang on the back of my neck while running. Plus after about 30 minutes it seems like they were pinching my head in a vice.
I ended up getting these YurBuds that are much more comfortable.
I think they are even smaller now so you don't look like you're wearing hearing aids.- do you wear any headwear with the YurBuds? like beany or headband? what about phone calls?HijoDMaite
- no headgear, sometimes a baseball hat. I usually don't take calls at the gym but you can if you can find the tiny button.fooler
- those powerboats bellow look nicer.fooler

I have these in green. I didn't think I'd like them as much as I do. They're comfortable and light, and I can wear these and a hat at the same time. A few of my previous over ear, around ear, whatever headphones would always feel awkward with a hat.

It was these or Beats. I chose these because the Beats are in-ear and I have never found a pair of in ear that fit. These fit great.

- being beats, I doubt they are pretty good thoughMiguex

The wireless ones seem too damn heavy.
I just get a cheap pair of $14 in-ear Sony phones that have the interchangeable ear pieces for diff size ears. Fit great, sound good, and easy to replace when you lose/break them.

I bought those Yurbuds above on sale for $129.99 (REG $169.99) last year. They make a $99 pair now but I prefer the over the ear kind especially for the gym so I'd probably go for those Beats instead.

i've yet to find a bluetooth pair that work for running. like sublocked said, they are all too damn heavy/don't fit right/lose connection/battery life too short.
i just buy these:
http://www.amazon.com/JBuds-Meta…i go through a pair probably every couple months (wear them every day all day and always for runs after work). they have a year warranty so every time i break one i send it to jlab and they send me a new pair at no cost.
- sorry missed the part about it being a gift for your wife. i got nothin'lvl_13

I feel like those ear clamps on the earphones (not to be confused with headphones AKA over the ear) hurt your ears, SPECIALLY when running.
I know your wife asked specifically for bluetooth ones, but I feel like if she is really going to be running with them, she should stick with wired ones, (this comes from someone that runs 3 times a week, always with earphones).
Just my 2 cts.

Of course I'm looking for myself too. I typically use the Samsung ones that came with my phone. I change out the silicone ear piece to the smallest one that it comes with and then have to pull on my upper ear and insert as far as possible. They stay in my ear for about a mile, then I have to readjust it back in, IT IS SOO ANNOYING.
I feel like I have extra small ears or maybe weird shaped ones. The iPhone headphones (all hard plastic) ones won't even go in my ear, they are a joke.
I know there are always issues with wireless ones too, but seriously I think getting rid of the chords is worth it. During runs and on treadmill I have snagged the chord and had everything fall to the floor. During gym workouts it gets really annoying as mobility of arms and body are limited. I like to wear my phone in an arm band style holder and I end up tucking chords through sleeve and up neck, but when I wear long sleeves I can't do this.
anyway first world problems i know...
I think the best thing to do might be to keep buying the wireless ones and returning them until I we find the right ones.
Back in the early 2000's I use to use a pair like this that were just perfect because the weight of the chord and up and down motion didn't cause the headphones to come off. Of course they probably sound like crap.

Had to choose between volume and battery life.

I have been jogging and my iPhone headphones keep falling off my ears and sound like a kid messing with the balance knobs on an AM radio
Please help?!
