There is something unique and worrying about the American psyche as it seems to value violent conquest, power and control above pretty much everything else. The tools of this trait and the cornerstones that support it are guns and money. Couple this with poverty and religious elitism and...well...the results are all too clear.

It's quite alarming that the discussion about this event centers around how the mudering mutherfucker is defined. Not a word about the victims. Poor show.

Anyway, to the OP point, most of us with half a brain know the government and media color things for their own narrative. We know the agenda against certain people so the populous fixates on that rather than the atrocities of their own government.

Believe it or not, people in the east, many of us know your religion can be peaceful. We know the few are not the whole. We know most people everywhere just want to live their lives an love their family.

We also know that there are issues there too, especially with women's rights and tribal conflicts. We also know that is not ALL the muslim world and some countries/groups are far more progressive than others.

Many of us plebs also know that change will never come at the barrel of a gun, despite what governments feed us.

Also know that the western people are getting tired of the foreign policies at hand. There is a reason there are so few actual boots on the ground for IS and Syria. Another war might finally sway the public the wrong way.
