Chrome Crashes a lot recently on my windows and mac computers.
Some sites do always crash, some sites never. Haven't found out what could cause it, but I guess it's something up jQuery's noConflict mode. Both machines nave 32GB RAM and high-end hardware so its no performance issue I'd say.
Anyone else of you troubleshooting with this?
- clearing the caches could help.
I don't think it's a jquery problem.
what sites always crash?uan - could also be a bad plug-in you installed.uan
- I have no plugins installed, theverge.com often crashes, it may also be a video encoding issuemekk

talked with a product strategy guy at google and he said that they knew about it and that the last version was putting out fires. he said hopefully in the next version or two the issue would be resolved. #firstworldproblems

Yep - this makes the gif page unuseable - have missed it.
Also found a heavy lag on other sites where there is a lot going on (ads, vids, pics). Not as bad though.
Making Chrome unuseable and really don't want to use Safari...
This all started after Yosemite so have a feeling its not all down to Google.- exact same thing happens on my pcFax_Benson
- ah really? well its must be chrome then - shame as it kicked butt of any other browser beforefadein11
- same on snow leopard. have to use ff to see the GA threadjaylarson

http://allfacebook.de/ always crashes at launch @mac osx. Chrome version is 41.0.2272.104 (64-bit)
- same chrome, os. no crashes here.
try chrome://crashes/ in address bar.uan - tried it, it does only track when the whole browser crashes, not when a page makes problems.mekk
- the double flash plug-in problem? can't think of anything else atm...http://i.imgur... dissable one of them (the adobe one).uan

1- Type 'chrome://plugins' into the address bar
2- Click the '+Details' button on the top right side to expand the plugins.
3- Look for the 'PPAPI PepperFlash' plugin.
4- Click 'Disable'
If you already have the official Adobe version of Flash installed, it should show up right under the pepperflash plugin listing
5- Leave this one enabled. Otherwise go download the official one from adobe (http://get.adobe.com/flashplaye...
6- Clear the cache. Restart chrome.
Note: Pepperflash re-enables itself after Chrome updates so look out for that. Seems that this bug is fixed in the Chrome dev builds, but not the release candidates, so it might be fixed in an update sooner or most likely, later.
- doesn't do shitfeel
- worked for me. this is the one i disabled. http://i.imgur.com/d…plash
- fixed it right up. image/load size still delays but that's expected.plash

@zaq image is being called once, 1 image tag, 1 anchor tag pointing to the image URL and a title attribute with the image url. Nothing wrong.

its something to do with the size of GIFs not just GIFs in general as this page loads fine:

Chrome seems to be degrading with each update in some areas, at least that's my experience.

chrome is terrible on a mac. switched to safari over a year ago. every time i have to use chrome i cry a little.

For me, all my .gifs will lag until ALL of the gifs are fully loaded on the page. Then I do ok, but it's still a little choppy. Gotten that on 3 different computers w/ chrome.

same story here on windows and mac. both systems have 32GB of ram and 4GB Win /2GB Mac video ram. Pretty sure my system can display multiple graphics at once.
When all jiffs are loaded it's fine but until then the whole tab is unusable.
