Any qbners in Hong Kong? I'm traveling there for work and will have the weekend of the 16-18 to check the place out. Some inside info and a QBN Honk Kong Drinks would be fun.

As far as food, you cant beat the sizzling crispy noodle shrimp dish at Tsui Wah near Lan Kwai Fong or for a good hot pot try The Little Sheep...they used to have all you can drink beer deals, too...Valor beer from China. Hopefully that place is still good with that special. Have fun
- noted. I'll see if we can find these joints while over there. Thanks.capn_ron

Nice typist! some really good stuff in there. I like the idea about the free paper too. There may be a good event happening that would be even better while in HK! I'll email you if I have any specific questions.

If it's still around, Dumpling Yuan on 259 Queen's Rd East, Wan Chai. The dumplings with noodles and everything else are fantastic in a pretty plain looking place, but my god they do this cucumber salad with crumbled peanuts, garlic and chilli on top that is mind-blowing. I would drive a tank over a hundred omg's to eat one more bowl of that stuff.
My sister lived about 300m away for about 5 years, and I ate there several times every time I visited.

I was in HK a few years ago. I remember the horse-races in happy valley: wanted to spend my leftover HK$ before leaving the next day but won several hundreds with the horse Mount Victory. Good boy.
The atmosphere there between the skyscrapres was awesome.- I think my wife was talking about wanting to go there, hopefully we can check it outdee-dubs

Half a million protesters expected today and China is threatening with big military-police force: https://twitter.com/willripleyCN…
- if they intervene, they do exactly what the protest is againststed
- I have trouble seeing what China would gain by sending in troops. It will just turn public opinion in Hong Kong further against them.yuekit
- Are they gonna kill every protester? Put the entire city on lockdown forever? There aren't any good options.yuekit
- NBQ000
Actually nearly 2 Million people protesting in HK! Wow

Firing more than 1,800 rounds of tear gas, Hong Kong police have repeatedly violated standards for safely dispersing crowds, experts said, putting protesters and bystanders in serious danger. We reviewed dozens of cases where it was used.

- I think upvoting this will get me in trouble next time I am in China. (Still worth it.)Longcopylover

considering the trend of always having an in-house troll, surprised we don't have our own 50 cent army shill in qbn.
