Just bought this Go Pro Hero for my 8yr old. Great stills, even greater video. Easy to use, just one button and the truth. All sorts of accessories that make riding a bike or going swimming or taking aselfie a whole new adventure. Indestructible too.

Go Pro not really suitable here - for a little girl so colour/design are important.

fadein11 - ^^^ The blue nikon is perfect for your kid. Got one for my 8 yr old. Its also doubles as you underwater camera.
