I'd like to purchase MyriadPro, to use for web. I'm only seeing it avail. for Desktop use. ie. http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ado… (no web)
I've only used free fonts for web so it's been relatively easy, anyone know a bit about this?

The MyriadPro that comes as the default font with Adobe CC isn't licensed for use on the web?

going to go with another option. any good alternatives out there close to myriad? there have been debates on whether using fonts from google slows things down than pulling from fonts on a terminal. thoughts?

- if you choose only the font weights you need, there should be negligible impact.ETM

One last question.
I was told that Google fonts slow down the response of a website... is this true? Doesn't seem logical, yeah the server has to reach another but doesn't it happen pretty quickly?Coworker suggests using a standard desktop font for body copy (these are not long pages).
- Of course every time an external file needs to be loaded it will slow things down a little...but should not be significant and usually worth the trade off.reanimate
- To make it faster minimize the number of different typefaces and weights you use.reanimate
- Esp when you have non-US web speeds like those in the giant country town that is Australia.MrT

fonts.com have web fonts of Myriad:
http://www.fonts.com/font/adobe/…or as I commented above, go with Frutiger as an alternative. They're practically the same typeface.
