Oh I saw this on CSS tricks the other day. It's one of the less known attributes you have to add. You can do it without masonary. Hmmm will try find it for you.

you can use CSS3 :nth-child() selector to specify how each layer or a group of layers act in any situation.

you can use columns to get the masonry layout without the javascript. as seen here http://jsfiddle.net/jalbertbowde…
its quite widely supported. unless you hate yourself and want to develop for older IE
