alpine star has some good stuff,
• shin-knee combo
• elbo-lower arm combo
= must haves
besides the obvious boots and helmet

once you break 12mph get some leathers
alpine star = quality stuff
I've low-sided at over 100+ mph on them, I'm still here, I'm fine.I like turtles

I wear these motorcycle boots by TCX. They feel like sneakers but have great anke protection.
For gloves look for deer or kangaroo leather as they'll give ethe most protection. Icon and alpinestars make some great street gloves with knuckle protection.
Don't skimp on a good full face helmet. Sure a 3/4 is open and cool looking but the first time you go down you'll be damn glad your chin was protected. Also, riding in the rain sucks as it'll feel like you're being pelted by nails and you'll be glad you invested in something with a visor. I wear a Bell RS-1 on both the street and the track. I also recommend the shoei rf1200
Hope this helps

- < what he said! Also on helmet fit, don't just go for the one that looks cool. Get a good fit. I really wanted Aria but the fit wasn't right :(ShaneHolley

If the black leather look isn't your bag check out icon or rev'it
This jacket looks like a vintage bomber but has removable armor:Also check out sites like revzilla.com. They have a massive selection and the customer reviews are spot on and bs free.

I have one of these helmets "Shark Raw" in all black they look wicked and you can have it full face of if it gets to hot or your just running around town it can be open face. I cant recommend these enough they are so good and because they have goggles the visibility is amazing to.
As for clothes check out Icon they are doing some wicked stuff.
There are shit tons of good bike blogs out there to check out that will have lots of links to bike clothes.
Bikeiffix would be a could place to start http://www.bikeexif.com/category…
