Any suggestions to do a bunch of family-ish stuff with a 6 and 8 y-o?
I'd like to take them to the marvel comics building if there is a museum or something cool there.

Children's Museum of the Arts. I've never been to NYC with kids, but this is probably cool.

My wife and I order from Motorino (on this list) all the time. I would recommend the heavy hitters like Di Fara, Grimaldi's or Lombardi's also but they all have massive wait times and the kids will bug the fuck out.

just a follow up, had a great time, 2 nights is way too short though, and next time I'm definitely leaving the kids at home lol.
If i can sum up the city in one word: grand.
I was impressed at how friendly, genuine and unpretentious the people in New York are.
